When you study with us, we provide the academic and personal support needed to successfully complete your course.
IVY Provide you following serrvices:
IVY offers an Airport Pick-up Service for all newly enrolled international students arriving in New Zealand. You will be collected from the Auckland Airport International or Domestic terminal and transported directly to your chosen accommodation destination.
Send an Airport Pick-Up Request at least 2 weeks before your arrival. A confirmation will be sent to you via email.
IVY can also arrange accommodation for students if required. The types of accommodation available are:
- Shared Flat / House
- Hostel
- Motel
Payment for accommodation is made directly to the provider of the accommodation (usually two weeks in advance). Please Click Here if you need more information or would like to book for your accommodation.
International students in New Zealand on a student visa are required, as a condition of their visa, to maintain valid health insurance.
IVY arranges your private health insurance for the duration of your studies.
Assistance with gaining employment
One of the things that employers look for most in graduates and student employees is employability skills. It is essential that you develop these skills to act as a solid foundation upon which to build technical skills.
IVY offers a number of services to develop your employability skills and ease your transition from college study to the workforce.
This program includes initial job search, resume writing, interview preparation, finding volunteer or paid work experience related to students vocational education program, personal development workshops and organizing in house seminars by industry experts.
- explain students about their work rights in the New Zealand work place and their work visa limitations
- initial discussion about student skills/experiences with the HR Manger
- make students familiar with the major New Zealand job search sites
- scheduling appointments for two hour Resume/Cover letter writing sessions
- and encourage students to write about their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT)
